Michael White is a writer, animator and voice actor from Northern Ireland. He was an episode writer for both Thomas & Friends and Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go. He also briefly worked as a consultant for writing Bruno.[1]
As well as a writer, Michael also has a passion for railway modelling and animation.

- Before joining Thomas, Michael is known on social media and the Sodor Island Forums as WhitehouseFilms.
- According to a livestream in 2023, Michael's favourite episode from those he has done for the show is 'One that has yet to be written'.
- Both he and Andrew Brenner worked on the series 'Pablo' since 2016, where Michael wrote 13 episodes and voiced the character 'Tang' and a variety of other characters in the series.
- His favourite characters are Edward and Toby[2].
- His favourite Railway Series Books are Thomas the Tank Engine, Tank Engine Thomas Again & Branch Line Engines.
- He owns a Coolprops Thomas model.
- Two of Michael's favourite television programmes are Postman Pat (partially the first and second series and the four specials by Woodland Animations) & The Mysterious Cities of Gold. In 2021, he made a fan made tribute video on YouTube to Postman Pat when the show was celebrating 40 years and hosted a 3 hour livestream tribute to The Mysterious Cities of Gold in 2022 when it celebrated its 40th Anniversary.
- His favourite series is Series 2 and his favourite episode is Thomas Comes to Breakfast.
- As a modeller, he created replicas of Wilbert Awdry's original model engines and his Ffarquhar layouts since 2007. He attempted to build a replica of the North Western Region layout with a local model railway club, but the project was dropped in 2022, but plans to make another attempt in the future.
- He also created four replica versions of the original wooden engine toy of Thomas using the same methods and materials made by the Rev. W. Awdry. The second version was made as a thank you gift to Christopher Awdry[3], the third version was made for Daniel Coffey[4] and the fourth made for Sam Wilkinson.
- Michael is the first writer to have written episodes for both Thomas & Friends and Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go.
- In a recent livestream, Michael stated that since late 2020, he is currently working as an animator and part time voice over artist. He has been involved in various children's shows for ITV, RTEjr & Apple TV. From his experience, Michael is part time working on producing his own railway themed animated series which he hopes to have a test episode released in 2025.
