About Me (The Past Two Years)

Well, since I've been a member here for almost two years now, I figured that I'd tell everyone a bit more about the "online me".

So. Where to begin? I first found this website a few weeks before September 20th, 2008 while trying to learn more about the lesser known Thomas characters. And boy did I find a lot of info! Sure, some of it was fake, but luckly most of it wasn't. Needless to say, I was hooked. It was great learning about all of the characters I had never heard of - some Railway Series others newer characters from the television series. (You see the last Thomas episodes I had watched before leaving the series were season 8 ones.)

After being an unregistered user for a while, I decided to get an account. Luckly, when I registered, you didn't need to give out your Email address. This was a big plus for me, as I hate to give out personal information. After a few weeks (Possibly days or even months. I can't remember.) of editing, I became friends with ZEM. I think the reason we became such good friends was due to the fact that we're so similar; we both like Thomas, we're both Christians, and we're both home-schooled. (Well, I was until last year anyway.)

Not too long after I became a member here, I learned about TUGS and became a member on the TUGS and Theodore Tugboat Wikias. While I don't go to either of these two Wikias very often any more, they both played an important role in shaping the "online me". One such time was when I was autoblocked here (to be explained in the next paragraph) and had to contact ZEM on one of those two Wikias. Another was when I was telling ZEM what episodes of Theodore Tugboat had aired on a channel called Qubo. As it turned out, most of seasons 1 - 3 of the show had aired.

Soon after this, I started to have trouble with two users named TUGS and CuldeeFellRailway. They were blocked by Goldenbear at that time and because their IP address had also been blocked, I was blocked as well. (This is called an "autoblock".) Fortunately, I was still able to edit my talk page. So, everytime this happened, I wrote a message there and ZEM luckly saw them and helped. This most likely made my friendship with ZEM stronger as well, come to think of it.

A few months later, ZEM offered me an adminship here. I was thrilled by this aspect! But there was a catch; neither ZEM nor Goldenbear had the powers to do this. They were both admins sure, but only bureaucrats can promote users to a higher position. This meant that I had to be patient while ZEM contacted Wikia staff to give him bureaucratic rights. It took a few days or possibly even weeks, but he was given the rights soon enough. And soon after that, he promoted me and Goldenbear to our new statuses.

Somewhere around this time, I also joined ZEM's forum, The New Tugboats and Thomas Forums. This has really helped me to make more friends; without it SteamTeam and I wouldn't be such good friends and I wouldn't know ZEM as well either!

I'll mention the VeggieTales Wikia here, as I'm not sure when I requested bureaucratic rights. There's not really much of a story behind this one. I found it, I asked for rights, and that was it.

So time passed. I helped to keep the Wikia under control by deleting spam, blocking troublesome users, etc. Then along came SteamTeam. He didn't start out as one of my favorite people (because I didn't know him), but now I don't think I could live without him!

My friendship with SteamTeam started out in a normal way. We started talking about season 13, Thomas, etc. But soon we started talking about all sorts of things; from other TV shows to food to family. This is how I learned about his TOMY series which I now write episodes for. I also learned about UK TV shows that I now enjoy to watch (eg "Only Fools and Horses" and "Sooty")

A little while later, SteamTeam asked if I'd like to admin the Sooty Wikia with him. I agreed and he sent a request to Wikia for us. A few days later, we were both bureaucrats and we started work. It's still fairly small, but we're working on expanding it.

About two months later, anohter friend of mine, SodorProductions, brought my attention to the Shining Time Station Wikia. I soon sent a request to Wikia and was made a bureaucrat there as well. This is really the worst off of all of the Wikias I'm in charge of. So if you have even a mild interest in the series, please come and help out!

More time passed, more edits were made, and little of importance happened from here. That is, until, I restarted my blog. It was then that things really started to pick up in the "Thomas world". More news about upcoming specials and seasons just seemed to come pouring in! It was almost as if HiT Entertainment had been waiting for me to start my blog!

So that's me for the most part. I've left a few things out, however, that I couldn't make fit in with what I wrote above. So now I'll list them chronologically:

  1. I joined SiF around the same time I joined ZEM's forum.
  2. If anyone wants me to write an episode for their series, I'm a free agent! So just send me a message and I'll see what I can do.
  3. I own The Island of Sodor: Its People, History and Railways, Sodor: Reading Between the Lines, and The Thomas the Tank Engine Man. I only mention this as a sort of service. In other words, if you need anything looked up in any of these three books, just ask!

*Soon to be revised!*

The Boxonian Railways

"The Boxonian Railways" is my version of the Railway Series (ZEM helped me come up with the name. Thanks ZEM!). It takes place in Boxen the imaginary kingdom of Animalland and India created by C. S. Lewis and his brother, Warren, when they were around 6 and 8 years old. Only I moved Boxen to between Ireland and England and shaped the island into a square (Get it, Boxen?). I also got rid of India. I only have one story right now but I plan to write more.

People

I have come up with several (about 14) named people so far. But I only have two listed here right now.

The Bigg Controller

Sir Clive Hamilton Bigg (Clive was C. S. Lewis' first name, Hamilton was Warren Lewis' middle name, and Big is the last name of one of the main characters in their Boxen but I added another "g"; this is also an unintended reference to TUGS - "Bigg City Port" - and Jane Bigg, the Reverend W. Awdry's great-grandmother.) known to the engines as the "Bigg Controller" was the first owner of the Eire Boxen Railway. He received his knighthood in 1902, from the (now defunct) Order of St. Patrick. The current(fourth) Bigg Controller has inherited the honorary knighthood. (I'm not sure how Knighhood works. Anybody who knows please tell me in my talk page.)

The Narrow Controller

Mr. Thomas Fredrick Argile, known to the engines as "the Narrow Controller" was the first owner of the Whin Railway. There have been five Narrow Controllers.

Railways

There are five railways on Boxen. They are:

The Eire Boxen Railway

The Eire Boxen Railway was first owned by Sir Clive Hamilton Bigg. The first four engines on the EB (and the only ones I've really developed) are:

  1. Joshua (side-tank engine)
  2. Lawrence (tender engine)
  3. David (saddle-tank engine)
  4. Alfred (tram engine; blue)

Whin Railway

The Whin Railway is like the Skarloey and originally owned three engines.

  1. Whin (named after a nearby lake; the largest in Boxen)
  2. Argile (named after the first owner of the railway; last name)
  3. Boxen (named after the island)

All three are blue tank engines with red lining.

Windbouro Railway

The Windbouro Railway is like the Arlesdale and originally owned two engines.

  1. Earl (red tender engine with gold lining)
  2. Tyson (deep blue tender engine with red lining)

Blarney Stone Railway

The Blarney Stone Railway, like the Culdee Fell, is a rack railway, and is named after the Blarney Stone Mountains. The mountains are in turn named after the famous Irish castle because of the legend that the Blarney Stone came from the mountains on which the railway now sits. The legend states that stone was orderd from the mountains to build a castle in Ireland. The stone was sent and not untill a long time after that was the stone discoverd to give the gift of gab. The top station of the Blarney Stone Railway is a replica of Blarney Castle. The Blarney Stone Railway originally owned four engines.

  1. McKinley
  2. McKenzie
  3. Blarney
  4. Dublin

They are all painted in an emerald green livery with orange and white lining.

Grotsdale and Torvin Railway

The Grotsdale and Torvin Railway is a monorail railway that originally owned one engine (technically two). It is based on the Listowel and Ballybunion Railway.

  1. Jeffery and Donald

They are painted in a red livery with blue lining.

Boxonian Trivia

  • Boxen is approximately 70 miles north to south and 70 miles east to west.
  • Boxen is part of the country of Ireland.
  • The official language of Boxen is Gaelic, although Manx, Scotish, Welsh, English, and even Sudric are used; combinations of the six are also used. But as in Ireland, English is now the dominant language.
