Snow Tracks is a magazine story illustrated using photographs from the CGI television series.

Plot

One winter's evening, the engines are shivering in their shed. It is too cold to work and Gordon especially wants to stay in the sheds, but he has to pick up coal from the docks.

Gordon sets off and is soon struggling up his hill, with the wind blowing snow in his face. As he pushes through the snow, a snowball starts to form. It gets bigger and bigger until Gordon cam barely see over it. Thomas is climbing up the other side of the hill when he gasps at the snowball; he has nowhere to go as it gets closer and closer until it hits and derails him, which makes Gordon fell terrible.

Gordon races to the docks where he finds Rocky. Soon Thomas is put back onto the tracks. Gordon concludes that snow can be strong and soft, but friendships are even stronger. Together, the two friends return to the warm engine sheds.
