The Three Way Road or the Three Bridges is an area encompassing a complex of railway lines and bridges.

History

The upper bridge carries a tramway over the lower bridge. The lower bridge is a double-tracked viaduct which crosses over another single-track line as well as a narrow canal. Its exact location on the Island of Sodor - along with which lines the bridges carry and cross - is currently unknown.

Trivia

• To create the set, models previously used on other sets were used, such as:
  • The lower bridge reuses the model for the Viaduct on the Main Line.
  • The wing walls of the steel bridge and the signal box are reused from those at Wellsworth.
• Though referred to as "the Three Bridges" in concept art, there are only two bridges actually present on the set.
• The location was inspired by the Triple Crossing in Richmond, Virginia, USA.
