Woolly Bear is the twenty-fifth episode of the second season. In the US, this episode aired on the Shining Time Station episodes Things that Go "Ga-Hooga" in the Night and "Crackpot".
Plot
Thomas is still furious with Percy for his prank and makes fun of Percy's slowness with the hay trains. Percy resolves to be quicker, but his hopes are dashed when his crew has to wipe some treacle off his boiler and he becomes stuck in hay. Percy is shocked to discover that he now resembles a "woolly bear", and Thomas tells Toby, prompting the two to make jokes about Percy's new appearance.

- Toby gains an extra truck and a different brakevan while puffing through the valley.
- Percy's brakevan disappears as he enters the harbour.
- Look at Percy when the treacle lands on him to see the reflection of the studio.
- Starr and Carlin say "Percy was cross", when he was clearly sad.
- In the close-up of Percy's wheels struggling in the hay, you can see a cog behind one of them.
