You can NEVER please everybody, no mater what you do. If HiT becomes a little more liberal, so to speak, with the "Winter Holidays", Christian conservative groups may protest the show. You may not think that will ever happen, as it is only a children's show, but certain Christian conservative groups (For example, the Tea Party) do not care what it is, they will protest it.
The film business is a risky one, and you will never please everyone in it. To survive, you have to please the majority, not the minority. That is how every business works, to be honest. They care about sales, sales vital to the company to survive. And, with the majority of the world being Christians, they are going to go after that group of people. Is it morally right? Well, meh, but, it has to be done for the company, a company who employs thousands of people, to survive.
