Trevor's Big Day is a magazine story.

Plot[]

One day, Edward sees a group of people handing out leaflets to passengers at a station. When Edward's driver goes to talk to one of them, the man turns out to be the curator of the Sodor Museum and he explains that the museum has run out of money and faces closure. Edward's driver is disappointed as he often takes his children there. Edward suggests hosting an open day at the orchard where Trevor can give rides and all the money made will go towards the museum. That evening, The Fat Controller is informed and thinks the idea is splendid.

Soon, Jem Cole has Trevor painted and polished until he glistens and the orchard is decorated with colourful flags and banners. A large queue of children forms and Trevor is kept busy giving them rides. Trevor congratulates Edward on his idea.

At the end of the day, The Fat Controller makes a speech announcing that enough money was made to keep the museum open. He writes the curator a cheque and the curator - after thanking Edward and Trevor - announces a new exhibit at the museum all about Sodor's railways.
